Naftali Group files to demo three buildings at Lenox Hill site recently purchased for $72.6M
Michael Witek, on March 15, filed a permit applications for the demolition of three buildings at 1485-87 Second Avenue and 251 East 77th Street in Lenox Hill. Michael Witek, executive vice president of construction at Naftali Group, filed the plans.
The developer purchased the properties in two transactions which totaled $72.6 million from Sky Management this past December.
According to a report from Commercial Observer, the assemblage has 152,000 buildable square feet and if affordable housing were included, Naftali could build up to 186,000 square feet.
No new building plans have been filed yet. Naftali is developing several condominium projects in the area, including 1045 Madison Avenue and 200 East 83rd Street.
The first of these new site-clearing plans call for the demolition of a six-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of six-story building as per plans filed herewith.
The residential walk-up has 32 dwelling units.
