First Standard Construction files plans for 148-unit mixed-use building in Astoria
Damien Smith’s First Standard Construction, on March 2, filed a permit application for construction of a 148-unit, 104,890-square-foot mixed-use building at 11-20 Broadway in Astoria, Queens.
There have been 38 new building plans, including these plans, filed in the neighborhood in the previous 12 months.
The plans call for the construction of a 100-foot-tall, nine-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00687999. The development site spans one tax lot.
The project is described in the filing as: affordable housing job. Proposed new nine-story mixed-use building with 148 dwelling units, including mandatory inclusionary housing units and commercial.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have parking space, a residential lobby, and retail space. Floors two through seven will each have 21 dwelling units per floor, and floors eight and nine will each have 11 dwelling units. All floors will have balconies.
The architect listed is Gerald Caliendo Architects.
The property was acquired for $7 million on March 10, 2021.
