Brooklyn Home submits $56M condo plan for 33-unit building in Bed-Stuy
On February 28, The Brooklyn Home Company submitted a condominium plan for 33 residential units at 524 Halsey Street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn.
The condo plan, CD220048, has a current price of $44,303,000 listed with the New York State Attorney General. William and Lyndsay Caleo are listed as the principals of the sponsor.
The developer purchased the site for just north of $10 million in March of 2018.
The Brooklyn Home Company is behind a series of other projects in the borough as well, including other condos. In May, the developer submitted a condominium plan for 14 residential units at 670 Union Street in Gowanus. Those plans, CD210130, have a sellout price of $29.9 million. In total, these are at least the 11th condominium plans that the developer has been involved with since the start of 2018.
The DOB plans for the development call for the conversion of a commercial building to a four-story residential building with 32 dwelling units.
Per the plans, the ground floor and cellar of the building will each have nine dwelling units, the second floor will have eight dwelling units, and the third floor will have four dwelling units. There will also be two triplex dwelling units that span from the cellar to the second floor. The third floor will have several terraces. The floor plans make no reference of the fourth floor.
Below are renderings of the development.
